PA-CRI 1: Access to Services
|
|
The agency minimizes barriers to the initiation of needed services by using a variety of culturally, geographically, and age appropriate
outreach strategies to inform the community about the type of services it provides and how to access them.
An ongoing public information campaign provides the community with information about available services, hours of operation, contact information, and how to use the agency's services.
Interpretation: The public information campaign can include such activities as posters, published brochures, public service announcements, listings in local telephone directories, and outreach to other providers. Strategies should include attention to geographic location, language of choice, age, sexual orientation, developmental level, and the person’s religious, racial, ethnic, and cultural background.
The agency informs the community when services have a particular focus, such as mental health or rape
crisis intervention.
NA The service does not have a particular focus.
